Over a year of headaches

We used this program for over a year and it was problems pretty much from day 1. First off, this "ready to use" software had a lot of labeling errors in their anatomy templates. I could not have been the first chiropractor to notice, yet there they were. But hey, you can customize and re-write everything, which needs it if a quality SOAP note is what you demand. The biggest issues were stability. Weekly the system crashed and it took another day for tech support to get it up and running again. that was quick turnaround, usually it was 2-3 days. It is very difficult to run an office with your documenting system being down for half the week. We were given every reason in the book, of course all were issues on our end and nobody else was having these problems. that was until I started getting in touch with other doctors that were using this program and it seemed that ALL of us were having these problems. It got to the point that if a peripheral tablet was turned off, NOT even running the program at the time, it would corrupt the server files and it would all have to be reset by their tech support. This is completely unacceptable in todays digital world. How does a tablet, not connected to the server thru the program corrupt server files with a program that it is NOT running for every other user on the network? There were so many little problems in the program itself with verbiage and labeling it doesn't even pay to get into those details as none of them mattered when the program couldn't be relied upon for 5 days of operation in a row, ever. and once the tech support ran out and we didn't want to pay the 1200 bucks for more for a 12K system that didn't even work, they were done with us. It's as if they strung us along, until the return period was over, and when you didn't want to pay for them to fix what should not have been broken in the first place, they were done with you. Of course they were done only after they reminded you that any disparaging remarks about company or the product would result in a lawsuit against us. Their integrity is astounding :) Anyway, non-disparagement clauses are pretty worthless with this thing called the First Amendment to the Constitution of the United States still around. Any doctors looking at EHR software would be very, very wise to listen to others experiences. I've used a pretty good number of products over the years from 10 years ago like Eclipse and Medisoft, to Chirotouch, ACOM, and Inphase more recently. All of these performed at a much higher level than Eon's Practice Solution.

Eon SUCKS

Tech support is horrible. They nickel and dime every chance they can get. Trust me stay away. Put your money into any other software. They force you to buy upgrade that do maybe one or two things differently, or they change the color of the background $500.00 thank you. Call tech support they get back to you on average 2-4 days later for $160 per hour, then when the go to fix your problem they just suck up your tech time.

I bought the support yearly package to avoid this hassle over service , I usually get tech support to call me back within a day ...especially if its urgent

Many questions/limited answers

We have worked with EON systems for three years. The system for our needs was not present so we invested much time and finances to work with EON to create a documentor algorithm for our reporting that is very extensive and detailed. While we are very pleased with what we created with EON's support, we are frustrated daily with errors, lost of time and effort when notes are stopped by errors and lost requiring we re do the note. Our efforts to work with the EON team are consistently receiving excuses that something on our end is wrong...wrong anti virus, unable to support windows 10 and other long list of what we are doing wrong. To have an appointment with a tech is challenging. We are made to feel that the techs are almost to busy to deal with us and when we cannot fit into their slot, it is once again our fault. We treat patients; something that seems never to occur to them. So the overall experience has been expensive in time and money. We are very excited about the document we created for our needs but we have a bind ....how to we keep this innovative documentation that we designed with over 2 years of efforts on our part when EON owns it? Overall this company spends much more time trying to get you to buy something new that fixing what they offer and providing good client service.

20 year old program which functios as a 20 year old program on a 20 year old platform

Data input is painfully slow and awkward. The company tries to use the versatility as a top selling point... After a full month of "training" (this is learning the path of least resistance to data management and manipulations... don't deviate or you may cause a complete system crash!) the Sales rep Daniel will promise you the program is capable of almost anything... "it is that versatile" WRONG!!! Tech support quotes:"that is a known flaw in the programming. We are not sure how to fix it" (Don't deviate....)"I can only teach you what the program is capable of doing..." (Not versatile!!)"Wow! That is a good idea. I am surprised no one has thought of that before."

There are programming errors that never get fixed. The software and tech support are way to expensive to have this type of issue.

Have called, written, faxed and emailed and although the T.311 duplication is identified as their # 1 issue it has not been corrected in 2 years! This issue can cause 1,000+ pages( yes that is correct) to be created.

EON SYSTEMS: Ripped me off for thousands!!

I am APPALLED at the response to my ONGOING concerns with the software that is sold by EON SYSTEMS. I did a some searching and found many others with like concerns that were not being addressed. But to get a response of "speak to our legal counsel"....well, that did it!! I just wish I would have searched on EON SYSTEMS before sending checks!!! Now, in the toughest of economic times, they are taking advantage of smaller centers like ourselves, and basically "sell a bill of goods", all the while, KNOWING they not only CANNOT provide (competent) support, with software that does NOT do what is promised!! The owner seemed to have be "deaf", in that he did not hear that I CANNOT NOT USE IT, DOES NOT WORK! So what did he do?? (just prior to the attorney response by them...), sent me MORE software, of which I have not even opened--NOT INTERESTED!!!!!!!!! DO NOT PUCHASE FROM EON SYSTEMS IN CLEARWATER FLORIDA, if you are looking for medical software or documentation. Most of the "trainers" quit--after leading me on past the "deadline of return". WE NEED A FULL REFUND...WE ARE PISSED, like many others, who--like the BBB--give them and "F" rating! I, just give them THE BIRD!!!! >:-( I REALLY do not know how they sleep at night! Now, my small center must pay for attorneys fees in an attempt to secure the $$ from this fraudulent company! PATHETIC!!

I used to work for EON SYSTEMS. Every complaint is true.

They lie and twist the truth to make sales.

The owner lies so much and not just to his clients but to the employees.

And the wife is just as bad. On a power trip from ***.

But it all makes sense because they are scientologists.

They are brainwashed to believe it is okay to lie to people.

They do whatever it takes to support their "church" in order to get money to do tax deductible services. I can't believe they are still in business.

A few of you have mentioned a test or return period for EON Systems. Does one exist?

I have had nothing but trouble with EON over the years. I had tech support issues, failed promises...

They told me 5 years ago when I bought the software that there would be ERA to it 'before the year was done' and they are only adding that now. The software runs on FoxPro: an ancient database system. Ask any programmer you know if they would buy a database system that runs on FoxPro...usually they will just laugh.

I thought it was funny that the original poster had such a bad experience with the owner...in my case I sent him letters detailing my concerns and problems and he didn't even take the time to even respond to the letters.

I have managed to get their software to a workable state but in 2014 it needs to be updated for ICD10 and new HCFA forms. So I thought I'd give them a chance.

They sent me a new contract with a 'non-disparagement' clause, which means that if you sign the contract and decide to post anything anywhere that is negative about them, they can legally come after you. Sorry, I'm not giving up my freedom of speech for a brutally poor company like EON.

Do not trust this company...they will take your money and give you garbage for it.

1. TPS the billing appointment book, 2. Documentor & 3. Document Solution. All 3 modules have a different look and feel. They handle lists differently and are poorly integrated.

The billing system is an old DOS system that has been worked and reworked. We had constant crashes and finally gave up after 4 months and many, many, many hours of training and trying. Very difficult to do even the simplest thing like refunding money to a patient. The Document Solution was no solution at all and crashed so much we never got a days workout of it. I tried to get my money back but short of a law suit the best they would do is give a credit towards their products or tech support. I took the tech support because I am still using Documentor which is a pretty nice note system except it is also so unstable that it also crashes constantly. I can rarely get through a day without numerous crashes and reboots and I usually have to get tech support every other week or so when it get really bad. Tech support has been great. They usually get back to me the same day or the next.

AVOID EON SYSTEMS IF YOU VALUE YOUR SANITY.

We have been using EON for 7 years now and just upgraded to the documenter. I love the software and have always been helped immediately, knowledgeably and respectfully when we needed it. :)

EON SYSTEMS based in clearwater florida is a horrible program.

The Database they use is a joke, their software is not HIPPA compliant.

The technicians don't know what is going on and the owner is oblivious to what is going on.

Steer clear of buying Eon Systems software, big mistake We cannot wait till we switch to a more reliable,compliant system.

EON Systems is a scam. $10k piece of garbage

This company is about ripping Doctors off. They sell you software and then it is full of bugs right out of the box. They stall you with tech support always passing the buck until your 90 period is up. Then they know they have you. The training period was wasted with the trainer spending the entire hour trying to get the program to stop crashing. This software is filled with misspelled words and system errors. They lie and tell you that person no longer works here and later you find that to be a lie. Don't purchase EON System's Document Solutions, Total Practice Solutions or Documentor. The system is way overpriced and does not work. You will be sorry! I know I am! Instead of making my office run smoother, I spent too many staff hours to mention with tech support on the phone trying to get this system to work right which it never has!

Eon Systems is the worst piece of billing software, I agree it has a horrible antiquated database.

I can't belief we are still using it in our office, we have been shopping for a replacement.

Do not buy Eon systems software, there are many others that work better

Thier software does not do what they say it does!

Do not purchase software from this company. The sales team will lead you to believe it can do much more than it is capable of doing. It seems they havent worked the bugs out of it even after many years and after having a bad experience I did some research and found many others in the same boat. My bad for not finding out earlier. After 6 months or trying to get the software and hardware we paid 17 grand for to work, we requested a refund and were more than willing to make a compromise. It was completely ignored and no one with any decision making power even contacted us. Just a customer service rep. Had to turn it over to the lawyer. Feel free to contact me and I'll tell you the whole story

its easy to blame the software ... when often its the people who error ...

and hardware issues cannot be controlled by the company ... many reasons why things go wrong .. and asking for a refund ...just because you're not happy ... isn't reasonable ...

you need to work with the company and figure things out .. doesn't matter which software provider ...

I've had 4 in 25 yrs ... they get better ...but none are perfect
